a cup of travel : san francisco

Happy Labor Day, everyone!

It’s been a hot minute.
Excuse us, we’ve just been traveling and doing our thing – exploring around! We recently went on a weekend trip to San Francisco with our dear friend Sarina, and it was such a blast. (Huge thanks to Sarina for being the best tour guide!)

Not only did we check out the coffee scene, we did a variety of cool things and sightseeing during our time there, and we wanted to share that experience with you all via this photo diary.

Our first stop was the Conservatory of Flowers, which is right in the middle of Golden Gate Park. We met up with Sarina’s friend, Micaela, for a mini photoshoot for her awesome natural skin care brand – Drifter Organics. It was so much fun, and she even gave us a great product to try for ourselves: the Smile Balm lip balm!

*Give her a follow for some homemade, natural products and see our little cameo in her promo vid! ;’)

After the mini shoot, we proceeded to engulf the sandwiches we got from Little Lucca (a sandwich shop with the biggest sandwiches ever!!) and then explored around DeYoung Museum. We went up to the very top floor to catch a beautiful view of the city, and went into the garden portion to check out the James Turrell (“Three Gems”) Skyscape!

The Mill SF

The Mill is a must-go when you’re in SF! It’s a beautiful, airy coffee shop in the middle of the city, along with plenty of seats, coffee from Four Barrel, and yummy baked goods (it’s also a bakery – courtesy of Josey Baker Bread).

Alamo Square Park is one of San Fran’s great local parks, located in the middle of the cityscape. You can see the Painted Ladies with a clear view (*what’s up, Full House house!) and its such a great place to just people watch. There were also a lot of dogs just running around freely, and we were having the time of our lives. 🐶

Before we started our day with grabbing some good dim sum in Chinatown, we had to stop by Saint Frank Coffee. It was a busy busy morning, but we managed to grab some good s’pro. It’s an amazing space with even an upstairs level, along with a skylight!

Everlane is our ultimate favorite brand, and we of course couldn’t miss out on visiting their current retail space/showroom! We ended up dropping some good $ on all these lovely items – no regrets, though!

For our last day in San Francisco, we took it slow and explored the cityscapes.

We checked out Judah Street, where General Store and a line of cute shops were, and then did an impromptu photoshoot at Ocean Beach. Afterwards, we grabbed brunch at Plow and then met up with another one of Sarina’s friends, Connie! It was awesome hanging out with fellow creatives, while grubbing on some of Tartine Bakery’s heavenly Banana Cream Pies. *dead*
