Taking over what was once one of the Bardonna locations, Silverlake has yet gained another coffee spot on Sunset Blvd — DAYGLOW COFFEE!
*Updates: Neon Coffee actually is now called Dayglow. They changed their name, but it’s still the same owner + workers and location in Silverlake. :’) Modifications to this original post have been made due to this change!
Taking over what was once one of the Bardonna locations, Silverlake has yet gained another coffee spot on Sunset Blvd — Dayglow Coffee!
We recently got to visit *Dayglow Coffee, and were greeted by a flash of millennial pink and a sleek white interior. Definitely a refreshing place to see, and of course, as we expected – a bright neon sign! We had our usual favorite drinks, an almond iced latte and a matcha latte. As usual, on point. The sea salt chocolate (vegan!) donut pairs pretty nicely with the two, too. Just saying. 😉
What’s special about Dayglow in particular is that they have such a wide range of coffee roasters available at the shop. Aside from their physical location here in Silverlake, they also provide a ‘speciality coffee subscription‘ online. This subscription consists of fresh coffee curated just for the customer, and this selection is varied with great coffee from all over the world!
We were a bit sad to see Bardonna’s Silverlake location be gone after such a short time, but upon seeing *Dayglow Coffee take its place – we felt a bit better about it all. The founder, Tohm Ifergan, is actually a long-time coffee expert in spots around the Costa Mesa / Santa Ana area (e.g. Portola, Bad Coffee, etc) and now this is his own venture in the coffee world and we couldn’t be more excited.
Welcome to the neighborhood, *Dayglow!
